Looks ok on the coupes but not sure how it would look on a 4 door. If you did it, I say stick with the proper E30 sidemarker. The smaller ones are universal style that you see on VW's and other makes. They are also triangular which kill it for me.

If you decide to do the E30 side repeaters, I had a friend in NZ take pics of the dimensions of his factory cut out on the fender. Just so you don't have your markers in the wrong spot on the fender like on my cabrio (PO's doing, not mine).

Do it... I use e39 side markers on mine and love them.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm still on the fence, and the poll isn't helping since it's practically a tie wtf.

Regarding the generic triangular repeaters, I like them because they match my smoked MHWs, but I don't like that they arent' oem.

If your car is a daily then yes=as said before safety is a must. But if
                it's a fun/weekend car then no.

Someone photoshop some on his 4 door. I have also seen oem e30 style smoked repeaters.

I am a fan, it breaks up the single color some.

I haven't seen the smoked style. Right now I'm planning to use the clear e36 (smaller) version repeaters.

I think I'm going to finally install these (or not lol). Anyone have the template that shows where to cut. Is it different for an M-tech II car?

Seems to me if you have not done it since 2011, you shouldn't.
