I'm rockin a set of the US ones with steelies underneath. Gotta tell ya, the additional fuel economy and smooth ride are amazing!
The car feels lighter (cause they are) and more agile than with the 16's I had before.

Not to mention the drifts that are achievable with a slight poke of the throttle ;D
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

The steel wheels are lighter? Were your 16s billet blanks or something?

The steel wheels are really narrow, so it's not surprising. They were 5.5" wide.

Typical 16" wheels are more than 18 pounds. 14" steelies are a little over 17 pounds.

I highly doubt anyone could feel that difference in weight, it's pretty minimal. Both setups might actually be about the same corner weight, because the steelies need much higher profile tires.

I own a set of those wheels! Haven't seen them on another e30 till now. 15x7 et25 Momos (mine are still polished face and gold windows at the twist). Super cool, they're one of the sets for the SE30 car.
