Very nice car, I've come back to this thread several times to look at it.
Question, I see you have some sort of trim plate over the turn signals. Have you rewired them to the city lights, or am I missing them somewhere? Also, is it an imported euro car or did you source a set of bumpers?

Thanks, it started life as a base 5spd US eta. Black vinyl comfort seats, diving boards, etc... Always had this image in my head for it though. Got the bumpers first, then an early euro valance, then a better front bumper, then the later euro valance and the jimmy hill lip as seen here.

The signal lenses are pretty dark, but functional with orange bulbs. 3 wire for running lights + signaling. Haven't hooked up the cities on the headlights yet.

You've nailed it. Early body with meaty tires = classy muscle. I'm working toward a similar look with my euro delphin car. Now I'm excited to try some taller and wider tires.

Looks great. What front lip is that, it looks like it protrudes more than the standard euro one? Or are my eyes deceiving

I'm shocked no one brought up how similar of a set up it is to downforce22's e30, excluding the engine of course.

Man, what a great looking early model. The euro bumpers and houndstooth interior really complete the look. The wheel gap isn't even bad with the sport springs.
