Best way to remove interior door thresholds?

I'm talking about the plastic trim that covers the door seal and carpet. Has anyone found a trick for removal without the trim breaking?

So far, I've only had about a 50% success rate..

Voodoo, prayer, cursing random deities, no matter what you get a 50% success rate.

Maybe if you can get a short enough flat bar in there after you break the first clip and have it drop in to the rocker panel you might make removal a bit less breaky.

Once the forward-most clip has been disconnected (broken), you can slide the trim forward while bending it towards the pedals enough for the rear-most clip(s) to disengage. Then slide backwards bending inwards until another front clip or two in the front disengages. Rinse and repeat that process sliding the trim back and forth on the clips enough to slide the trim completely off.

That method really only works when it's warm though. Removing those trim pieces when it's under about 80° is almost a guarantee some or all of it will break.
