    M52 Temp gauge not working

Just finished my swap. M52, M42 rad, e30 brown top sensor with single wire plug, M40 cluster. I see the temp click on with the ignition but the needle doesn’t move. I plugged into the diagnostic port and the temp is coming through so my wiring must be good right? The thermostat is opening normally so I’m not sure what to do next. All other gauges are working fine.

    Any help is much appreciated

Was able to track down the problem. Somewhere there was a break in the connection from the brown top temp sensor to the C101 connector. Ran a new wire and boom!

FYI for anyone else with this problem, the temp the ECU reports over OBD2 comes from the other temp sensor.

Yes, I plugged my car into a diagnostic computer and was getting appropriate temp data. Thanks
