    Episode 6 - 3.5" MAF Upgrade Video

Hey guys, Here is Episode 6 from my instructional video series. I mainly focus on how I performed the 3.5" Mass Airflow Sensor upgrade on my E36. Here's the link:

Again, there are different ways to perform this upgrade, this video just shows I went about it. More info in the description of the video. Please share this with anyone interested in this upgrade!

This is no upgrade. It is more of a downgrade. Stock MAF, stock injectors and stock intake are not restrictive on 1995 m3.

What are the restrictions in order of importance then...

MAF is the least restrictive part of the intake, besides the manifold itself(assuming M50)

I think it's generally assumed the TB and filter are the biggest restrictions, but I don't have any data to give you to prove it.

Dave's dyno thread has some comparisons between stock and 3.5" MAFs on relatively stock engines (s52 with M50 manifold + CAI setups/exhausts and the like) and it doesn't support this mod at all for engines at that level of build.

Made more power regardless. I ended up selling the car to someone local to me so I could buy my spec E30 and then do some dynos and continue to make videos with the e36. Butttt....The guy that bought the car ended up running the car low on oil at the track a month later and destroyed the engine
