    318is S50 BAR'D and Supercharged

Well after building some fun cars in the past, I decided to get back into the e30. Recently sold a few fun builds.
Current look on e30. More pics and details to come.

    Here she is. 91 318is

Lets see how far this goes lol.

First goal get rid of the tan carpet. Bought a good condition grey carpet and cleaned as much as possible before the dyeing process.

After a week of cleaning, dyeing here's the outcome

This little car has a lot to live up to. Drooling over that Hammer tribute.

Door lock tumbler was broken so I ended up rebuilding it with a bmw kit.

              Came out nice and tight!

Removed instrument cluster due to intermittent speedo issues. resoldered all connections, new odometer gears and replaced all new bulbs.

Since the glovebox latch was crappy and closing at its own time I replaced it as well with a new tumbler.

Didn't realize how expensive people are selling a 6 button OBC!!! WTF?
Said screw this and rebuild it too lol. Common issues: bulbs dim and screen bubbled. Since the climate control was removed, replaced all the bulbs as well.

God that AMG Hammer is awesome. And I don't even like MB. What did you use for dying the carpet? I used fabric dye in aerosol spray cans with my ix's carpet. I used a lot of it and it turned out nice but faded horribly in a year and got worse each year after.
How to remove, install or convert to pop out windows

Could be better, could be worse.

After researching several options for head unit I went with the VDO. It's the closest unit that looks era specific besides the CD33 or CD43. Plus you get bluetooth, usb and aux without any modifications.
BMW crimps and shrink tubes were used.

IS lip was finally back from the paint booth with the splitter. Replaced all the clippings only to realize they're upside down lol. Fog lights were installed with new grommets.

HELLA lights were installed with new pigtails. Can't get over how good city lights look! ALso got the lightest tint from Laminx for protection.
