My ix got totalled, somebody rear-ended me at a red light :( I've been pulling parts off of it slowly, I've finally got most of the worthwhile stuff pulled. I've got an 89 325i as my daily driver, I'm going to have to duck out of the ix scene for a little while. There's not enough ix's left, and too many getting parted out, so I'd be thrilled if I can help keep somebody else's on the road.
Let me know what you need, make a reasonable offer on anything, my wife will thank you for helping clear out the garage and basement. I've got most of the car left, and all the spare parts I collected over time. Below is a far-from-comprehensive list of what I've got.
Side note: if you want the chassis, it's yours for free if you come haul it away. The rear driver quarter is smashed, and it had some rust issues, but there's plenty of patch material left if you're ambitious.
-Complete ix engine, 190k miles. Timing belt, water pump, intake and exhaust gaskets, throttle body gaskets, valve adjustment, all less than 6000 miles old, runs like a top. Still has accessory belts and accessories (power steering pump, alternator, A/C compressor) still attached. On ix subframe with ix steering rack, engine wiring harness still fully connected.
-Complete manual transmission swap. Includes everything needed to convert an auto ix to manual. Transmission, transfer case, front and rear driveshafts, front and rear diffs, clutch/brake pedal assembly, clutch master and slave cylinders, clutch lines, flywheel. Everything working great, all Redline fluids, the snow last year showed that the viscous clutch in the T-case works well. - SOLD
-(2) sets of front axles. 1 set in good shape, one torn boot, - SOLD 1 set were spares, condition unknown
-(2) sets of rear axles. 1 set in good shape, 1 set were spares, condition unknown
-Front diff, 3.91 ratio, had it as a spare, condition unknown
-Rear diff, 3.91 ratio, in great shape, have it apart for new seals but haven't rebuilt it yet - SOLD
-ix short block, with crankshaft, needs crank bearing blocks. Clean cylinders
-Black vinyl/gray cloth door cards for 4 door, in okay shape
-Set of gray cloth comfort seats for 4 door. In good shape generally, driver seat bottom fabric is torn, rear seat bottom needs a good cleaning
-2 front driver doors, 1 front passenger door, 1 rear driver door, 2 rear passenger door. Varying condition, all have glass
-Radiator, in great shape, with fan shroud and retainer.
-Full exhaust from manifold back. Ix-specific DEC front including catalytic converter (less than 1 year old), attached to Ansa muffler (less than 2 years old). All in great shape, no rust. - SOLD
-Headlights (ellipsoids), some surface rust on lens rings
-ix brake booster with brake master cylinder and reservoir. All in good working condition. - SOLD
-Complete HVAC box, with blower motor, controls, heater core and valve, A/C evaporator
-Front brake calipers in good working condition
-Front ix control arms in good working condition, tear in driver side outside boot.
-4-door door seals, all worked and in good condition
-Access caps for gas tank (under rear seat)
-ECU from 1989 325ix
-Rear seat pass-through ski bag, in great shape
-Hood, in good shape, small dent on driver side - SOLD
-Airbox in good condition
-Set of ix basketweaves, with nearly new Kumho Ecsta 4X II tires. In good shape. Will throw in oem ix spare.
-Gas tank, in good shape, has fuel level sender and pump still in it. - SOLD
-Rear shocks/springs. Stock (SOLD)
-(2) sets of ix rear trailing arms, some surface rust, in good shape. Still have hubs and brake calipers attached.
-NEW: Full ix fender flares and side skirts. Front flares still attached to fenders in decent shape
