    *SOLD*: '91 318is

    1991 BMW 318is (E30)

    VIN: WBAAF9310MEE69769

Diamond-black metallic with tan cloth interior
    1.8L fuel injected 4-cylinder
    5-speed manual transmission
    Limited-slip differential
    Power windows and locks

I'm saying goodbye to my E30. I've got a Subaru BRZ on the way! I've had this car for two years; it's treated me pretty well, and I've done a ton of work, both preventative and reactive. I'd comfortably do a long road trip with it.

Current mileage is approximately 192,000. The engine was replaced in 2010 after the timing chain idler sprocket failed. The replacement has about 150,000 miles on it and was thoroughly serviced. All hoses and gaskets including the front and rear main seals -- but not the head gasket -- were replaced, as were all the timing chain components. It runs quietly and starts immediately every time. It neither burns nor leaks oil.

There is some surface rust (visible in pictures), but nothing structural. There are two cracks in the dashboard; otherwise the interior is in excellent condition.

The A/C worked when I brought the car home, but currently does not.

Partial list of maintenance I've performed; all new parts were used:
    New battery in May 2012
Massachusetts state in spection in May 2012
Replaced rear axles (due to torn CV boots)
Replaced rear parking brake backing plates
    Replaced all parking brake hardware
    Installed steel braided rake lines
    Replaced all hard brake lines
Replaced hard and soft fuel lines
    Replaced water pump
    Replaced fuel pump
    Replaced muffler hanger
    Replaced throttle cable
    Rebuilt all four brake calipers
Brake pads and rotors are all fresh
Installed a used 3-spoke steering wheel

And because we all know :

    Asking $2,700.
    Location: Medford, MA

Just for anyone wondering: This is a SLICKTOP. IMO, market value is above the asking price because of that. OP: I would not accept a penny less than your asking.

Great price. Almost too good to be true territory.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. It's a solid car, fun to drive, and I really like the M42 motor. It's not a powerhouse, but it's lively, modern, and easy to work on. I'm spread way too thin on projects and hobbies and can't give the car the love it needs. That and with the new car on the way, I have no room for a 4th car! :D

This is a new england car by the way...
                        Still a solid deal.
I will pass this on to my brother who's in rhode island.
This is a great first car.

I'm actively replying to stuff right now. Got a lot of replies.

I also replaced the heater core about a year ago. Someone said I should point that out. :)
