    Top won't clear the cover

I'm having difficulty with my top, when I lift the back of it up to clear the top cover, it doesn't move up far enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure you pull the front bow back/up and push the rear rib forward, (like contracting an accordion) this allows the straps to pull in the rear of the top giving you more space to fold it back.

I’m having the same issue as I need to hand assist the top at this point of the cycle. I’m hoping that changing the struts will help. Is this caused by the aging of the elastic bands within the top?

The tension straps in your top are shot.

Yes, the tension straps normally pull your top so it folds properly, but like most they are shot so you are going to have to do some manual folding. There is a bow across the back top of the window, if you push this forward it will clear. Google some you tube videos of people folding the tops and see if you can figure it out. A fix for this is to buy some stretchy Velcro straps and secure them inside the top/car from the bow that moves to above the rear window to the one in front of it. This will pull it for you.
