i dont know if you said this, but what color is your car? i think you should just go with some euro deep dish basketweaves, or bbs like everyone else! basically dont buy kopis because i want to be unique when i buy them. even though my type A's are damn unique!
I'm running 17" wheels on my E30, and I'm very happy with them. As several people have said, it is a matter of opinion. I've seen 18" on an E30 before and I was like
I think 18" is the absolute max, although I could be wrong, but let me say 18's made the E30 I saw look like it was in a super touring car class, it was bad ass.
Don't forget that the wheel needs to have a certain bore size . . .
I think it's something like 57.1mm. . I might be worng. . Randy Walters is the person who know this stuff. . .

They don't HAVE to have the correct bore size. All you need is a little plastic hub centric ring that fills the gap. In fact, most aftermarket wheels use hubcentric rings on our cars, unless they were made specifically for e30s.
Correct, if you get aftermarket wheels with bigger hub bore, you can order plastic kind of like spacers to match your original BMW hub bore which was mentioned.
