    Difference in tranny's ???

    Is there a difference in 323 tranny and a 325 tranny ?
    or is the 323 the same as a 320 car ?
    i would swap my 2.3 engine for a tuned 2.5 block

    need quick response ASAP

    323i gearbox is very similar to the 325i box basically the only diffrence is the ratios, and it can handle as much power as the 325i box,

      Not sure about 323s but 87+ have different guibo, which is skinnier than older ones.

      Edit:Upto 11/86 have a larger 96mm guibo and after that, they all came with 78mm guibo.
      95' M3.
      90' 325i Turboed.
      87' 325eS Fixed.

        Just my experience, but I've worked on an 88 eta and 90 325iS that had guibos with different sized bolt holes. So who knows? You can always swap either the tranny output flange or driveshaft to match up different sizes.
