I have pulled away part of the door seal on the driver's side of my 1986 325e, next to the front headliner. Now when I push the door seal back into place, the roof upholstery sags. How do I tuck it back in so that it's neat and tight? Is there a trick to doing this?

The headliner should be glued to the body. I'm guessing yours is loose? -

The idea is that you stretch the lining, glue it in place and clamp it securely (at and beyond the area being glued-c clamps and wood can work) while the glue cures. Executing that without damaging the material or having it move while curing can be tricky.Comment
