Revving idle

my hunting idle was caused by a mis-adjusted throttle position switch.

Check for vacuum leaks - they often cause hunting idle. Check all the rubber hoses on the intake, the vacuum lines, intake boot, the oil cap seal, valve cover gasket, vent hose, etc. Don't forget the oil dipstick. If it doesn't fit tight, replace the o-rings (or install some if yours doesn't have any).

Did a quick water spray (to see if theres any smoke rising) vac leak test. Everything looked pretty good. Next step will be to check ICV. also i was messing with the coolant temp sensor and the temp guage sensor (temp guage on dash is a bit tweaked i have to tap the dash in the morning to get it movin)

once i tapped the Sensors the car idled low and finally turned off. Im thinking i have very old sensors. I'll see what it does when i replace those.
