    Alpina Kopis...

I never knew that this wheel was so cheap. Only 169 a piece from Abraham Motorsports? If these wheels are the real deal, there is no way I am going to be buying BBS or MM after market wheels, the Kopis are so much hotter. Plus the euro look is simply amazing. Who has these on their cars, ryan stewart does right?

And examples on a red car?

Are they the real deals? I thought not, could be wrong. IIRC real ones have 19 spokes and are available in 16in.

Ryan Stewart has the real (much much more expensive) deal. They're 16".

      Kopi = Copy.

      Yeah, they're pretty hot though.

        KOPI's....
        COPY's

Fake knock off's. Real ones had 19 spokes like Franz said, Kopi's have 20. Look on the webpage, there should be a red car there... at least there used to be.

Real 4-lug alpina's for the e30 only came in 16" and the Kopi's are 17"
        Below the radar...

Yeah I figured Kopi meant copy but it did not translate on a german translation(maybe it is not german?). how much would the real ones go for? even if they are copies, they are still good quality right? they will last forever, if i care for them a little. i will be thinking ;)

Ok, here is the scoop on real and fake Alpina's

Real Alpinas: 16x7 front, 16x8 rear. 20 spokes, and are "classic" style (more rigid lines). These cost about 2000-2500 for a new set.

Kopi Alpinas: 17x7.5 front and rear. 19 spokes, and are modeled off of the "softline" style real alpinas (for 5 lug bmw's)

I have Kopi Alpinas on my car. I have the first silver car that is on there wheel page.

I've never heard anyone have any problems with Alpina Kopis bending or anything so as far as I know, they have great quality and it's definetly one of my few choices of wheels available for e30s these days.

Surely the best bang for the buck there is.

awesome once i decide to buy some new wheels, which will be in a while because i just got me some basketweaves, i will def upgrade to the kopis. plus i think they are the best looking wheel out there for our cars. our cars are simple so the wheel should be too. well i guess the basketweave aint to simple! ;)

i'd love some kopi's, but 17" is just a little too big on an e30 in my taste... 16's for me, please ;)

yeah, the big differences are the one spoked less on the KOPI, the loss of the locking cap for a pop in cap, the rigid lines, and weight (alpinas are 16 and the KOPI are like 22).

Also Alpinas only come in 16x7 or 16x8 or both for our cars. KOPI are 17x7.5.

Right now Alpinas are about 1800-1850 from KSK, but they take a while to get.

Here is the 7" (the 8 has more lip):

                    You can compare the differences.

the man has spoken. yeah i dont have money for real ones, and i never will, seeing that i am going to college next year. so i will have to "settle" with the kopis which i actually like better than the real deal. strange

                          small feet? ;)

it's personal preference... for both asthetic reasons & performance reasons, unless i get my car up to the point where i start showing my car (which is pretty far fetched) i probably won't put 17's on my e30 in the near future... which is too bad, cuz i really like the alpinas... just too bad the only ones i can afford are the kopi's in 17 8)

don't get me wrong, there's nothin wrong w/ it though, as long as the owner knows they got em pretty much just for style & not for auto-x / track use... cuz unless you spend some serious cash, they AIN'T gonna be light & strong
