    I'm baaack

    anyone remember me?

I'm the guy that totaled his red 87 325is into a mangled mess and barley survived. 80mph strait into a tree. Wellll 8 ish years later... and I'm strongly considering buying another e30. Its time to get back on the horse. A lot has changed since then, but i still love e30's. If no one remembers me, ill post a picture or two of the wreck and i bet that will refresh some memories.

anyway... i hope to get an 89 325i 2 door sometime in the next few weeks. so ill be in touch.

O, and i now live in pensacola, fl. so if there are any other e30ers in this area, let me know. Id like to get into SCCA/autocrossing here

I remember you. Good luck on your search. Watch out for trees.

Yup. That was one of the gnarliest wrecks I've seen with the driver surviving. Welcome back.

there wasn't any space between the drivers seat and dash/wheel/etc. until the jaws of life opened it up.

i did learn a valuable lesson though... slow down. now i want to get on a track where its a bit more safe

now i drive a 98 audi a4 2.8l quattro... and i even after all that i own one of these:

I don't know what was going on back in 2006, but I run the show now.

Seriously though what did break in the accident? How many surgeries?
I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

man, it was a myriad of injuries. my whole body was banged up. But the worst injuries were ... left knee tore my acl, pcl, mcl, lcl and partial tears of the other 3 ligaments. practically tore my left leg off below the knee... but its still there after some very unique 1 of a kind surgery (the kind thats in one of those auditorium style rooms with med students watching.) My right kneecap was crushed into a million pieces, which they dug out the bits, ground them down together with some kind of cement and rebuild my kneecap. crushed my right ankle and foot/toes, broke my nose and jaw. chipped some teeth when my lower jaw punched through my bottom lip. (broke the steering wheel with my face) lots of lacerations and bruises... etc.

in the end. 3 surgeries. #1 was 16 hours, #2 was 12 hours, #3 was 2 hours to remove some bolts/screws/other hardware a few months later. my doctor was the man... literally, his name was Dr. Mann. I'd recommend him to anyone. in the end, I'm walking and in overall good shape. I hurt on a regular basis, but I'm alive

i would surely, 100% positive, be dead if i wasn't wearing my seatbelt. buckle up kids

Older than 16? Check. Respects driving safety? Check. We have a winner.
