    DS 1991 318iS Restomod

Hey guys, I just bought my first e30!

I think it's a 1991 318 is which means it's a sport model! IDK anything about them yet but I cant wait to learn from you all.

I heard JOM coilovers were good and people really like Sportsmaxx wheels?

    Let the modifications begin.

    So excited.

Driving her home this morning from San Diego:

Siiiickkkk sticker on the rear windshield. This was actually the first CD I ever bought with my own money when I was 10ish, so the sticker stays.

Started to vacuum everything and see what I actually bought. Everything in the trunk is good. Everything will get a deep steam clean soon.

Interior is clean but dirty. Already planning on reupholstery and a new dash.

Decided that the current tint sucks ass, so I called a guy and he came over and removed it all for $50. Nice guy. I'll use him for the same service tomorrow, on the tii.

    After about 2 hours:

I like the car so far. It will stay mostly stock as it is such a joy to drive. It is completely unmolested. I bought it from an old mexican man who didn't know how to use his phone or internet. I sang him a few songs and the car was mine.

10/10 would buy again. He actually has another white one so I'm likely buying that one too. Oh, and a red one. Looks like I'm back into the e30 game.

Welcome to e30 land. That seat cover probably feels great on your bum in the California warmth.

              It's real.

The car runs very well. At least up until about 10pm last night. Developed a funky misfire. So instead of diagnosing correctly, I'm just going to buy new everything and replace stuff until it goes away.

Already purchased new fuel filter, new main and fuel pump relays, new spark plug wires, new crank position sensor, new throttle position sensor, new 4-pintle 19lb Volvo injectors, SSSquid stage 1 ecu chip, all the stuff to clean up the "mess under the intake", and various other things.

I'm not a mechanic, but I'm betting if I replace enough old parts with new parts, things will run good and I can drive the car and be happy and then obviously want more power so I'll go out and grab that new m2 because it looks fun.

              But I need a dashboard!
