      How's it coming along?

      You might think the price is a little steep, but with all the info, drawings, etc in there, I think it's a steal. Projet ORCA CD is $100, and it's not nearly as complex of a swap, nor does it include the publishing costs of a book.

          since when is an E30 a "sports" car? Theres nothing wrong with a v-8 that weighs about 430pounds fully dressed. The car could could be set up for it no problem.

            news flash reeree, a ls1 is almost 40 lbs lighter than a m50. and what 50/50 weight balance?

            Remember, kid, the man with the bigger stick always wins. but to each his own. you keep your inline 6 that has about 80hp of its original 120ish, runs like shit, and will die within a year or two.

            Stop being a hater, go elsewhere and bitch, like e30tech or BF. r3v is about swapps, kid, take a look around. how many people have a stock engine?

              hey slow, sounds like your ur the only one bitching. didnt know critism of size was such a gentle topic for you. What the hell makes you so special that you get to criticize me (twice) for stating my opinions. This isnt even your thead. Plus, your probably rolling in a stock M20 with a K&N or something. Do you even own an E30 or do you just drive vicariously through others. Visit some sights where you might feel more at home you low life waste of space. and by the way a 6 cylinder E30 is like 53/47. Maybe when you get one you, do your own research.

                Anyway i'll just echo the others in this thread, the 5.0 Ford swap would be nice but personaly i'd stroke it up to a 347. And +1 on an LSx swap. Theres nothing wrong with pushrod engines. Someone else said something about the newer Hemi's also.

                  anyways, since this has nothing to do with ignorence.

                  My buddy blew up his fox body , oil starvation, and we just replaced with an OE crate motor. he did some research and found that GT40 heads or very cost effective, and they are full alluminium i believe. with MSD ign, cam, those heads, headers and a gear, his 85 (carb) mustang hatch ran a 12.9 consitantly and my gutted e30 and his gutted mustang only weighed 120lbs apart. Anyways the total project cost like 1000 bucks or something. That is a great motor and they sound so much better than a Lt1, LS1, LS6+ however is a different story.

                      Thats common ford problem. They all have oil issues in the upper rpm range. Its a shitty oil galley design. Thats why people who are serious about fords by World Products or Merlin blocks.

                          yep he just downshifted to accelerate though a some traffic. and got to 42-4500 rmp and then Bang and then nothing except a trail of oil on the street. popped the the hood he reached in and pulled out a front section of his crank!

                              i said i dont think there that great to begin with. i dont think taxes are that great either but there def not pointless.

                              then i said i was in favor of keeping a car as close to 50/50 as possible, meaning a v8 would jeapordize that. then you chimed in and said . Hey i have a 6 cylinder in my car and its 50/50. remember?

                                Ls1 is 50/50 if you read the post above the ls1 wieghts less then a m50. That was my point. Also the V8 sits farther back having more wieght in the middle of the car.
