I have the S54 airbox and throttles from my collection of bits on the shelf, Tune and management debateable...

I dont give a shit about velocity stacks looks. That extra HP TQ and throttle response, Mainly induction noise with that factory air box will be nice.

But after it blows, S54 will be next.

    Stock S54 290WHP Modded S50/2 275 WHP

Rod bearings, Vanos, Oil pump woodruff key, maybe a new balancer on a 100K motor and you should be good quite a bit more reliable.

I just really want to know the clearance of the E32 735 booster vs E90
I've never seen a reliable street us spec s50, s52 Putting 275 hp to the wheels. A euro one would do it easily, but those cost more then a whole s54 swap. If you have a "recipe for a 275 whp s52 I'd happily take it. I really want build one of those, but I just don't think it's possible, or economical.

S54 throttles are way too big for an S52 - you're not going to make 275whp with them either. Also, the ports are the wrong shape.

Also, this is way OT. :p

Cams are in... everything is torqued down and timed. Gotta check the valve clearances on Monday to make sure its all within spec

                  More updates!

The top end is basically done. Waiting on some small bits to come in from the dealer to be able to fully button things up and mount the valve cover. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm waiting on Andrew to shoot over the complete harness adapter then I can start making plans for the custom core support :D

This build is so great. I'd be interested to hear an estimate of what you have into it once it's on the road. Now that my red car's chassis is the way I want it, it makes a swap inevitable, eventually. The S54 is the prime candidate, but I feel budget could get out of hand rather quickly, urging one to go LS.

Why not shoot for the moon and do an N54?
