    Rough idle, and choke?

So I just got a timing overhaul on my m42 runs sounds good. I have been having rough idle issues this week, on the freeway picking up a fan for tHe engine the car was choking and wouldn't accelerate, I would press on the gas and nothing. I did swap the intank fuel pump, sending unit there is power going to the pump, now it works fine just have idling issues specially cold mornings it idles from 1k rpms and goes down to 700 or so and then moves up and down from there during idle.
Just today I got to work as I was about to park my car started to choke and idle drasticly like to 2k rpm and then to 1k and the to 750
I'm lost at this point. things I have done to see if anything improves

    changed the fuel pump assembly
    cleaned the icv
    cleaned the throttle body
re routed the hoses so there's no air leaks
    as stated new timing components

disconnected the o2 sensor it doesn't run any better
disconnected the icv it idles a little bit more aggressibly

    anything else I'm missing?

    Thanks

I suspect it's the 02 sensor. or the coolant temp sensor.
