I have a M52 swap. I want to run an oilcooler setup and i have search but i found nothing that will work on my car sense i have a screw on plastic top instead of the metal bolt on top... Is there an oil cooler system for the screw on top plastic housings or am i forced to spend alot of money to switch it over? My second question is could i just run this http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-323....5L/ES1892558/ and tap into my plastic top? Whats the best way i should go about this with while keeping the price down.. Thanks

http://www.gutenparts.com/performanc...x-s50-s5x.html - This is a very well thought out solution, and gives you more options than a S52 oil filter housing will for adding an oil pressure, temperature gauge, and an accusump if you so desire.

The best way I've found to add an oil cooler is the factory housing with built in thermostat.(not a cheap option but well engineered and less room for error) The Economotorsports from guten looks like a solid option as well but by the time you add in more fittings fittings and an external thermostat it's more expensive than it may initially look; but most solutions are when done properly.
