Found another steering rack in the shop that was identified as being from an '97 M3. This is what i had in my e30 s52 5-lug.
If you're still on OE 4-lug its a plug-n-play mostly. You can get away with e30 PS lines (or 1x e30, 1x e36) and a DIY length mod to your column-to-rack adapter.
If you have a 5-lug. Same applies, and I solved full lock rubbing on 245 17" tires with a 10mm spacer. Others put a spacer on the inner tie rod to limit the travel of the rack, but i prefer the first.
