                    Looks really mint... I’ve always had a question about these arm rests, do they screw/fasten to the center console? The bracket looks like it gets attached to the center console on the side so if you took it off you’d see screw holes?

                          Yeah, I had a nice one I bought a while ago, but didn't install it. I was worried I wouldn't like it because it might get in the way of shifting, and then I would be left with holes in my console...so I sold it. We will see if I go through with the install this time...I still have reservations, but my wife would really like it.

                            If it’s any consolation, center consoles can be bought brand new from BMW relatively inexpensively. The texture is slightly different from the OEM shifter surround so that could be a deal breaker. Also, tiny black rubber plugs could be popped into the screw holes and you’d be the only one to know they’re there.

                              Figured I could source a new console easily if it all went south, but never thought about plugs.
