how to tighten pushpin door moulding clips

trying to figure out how to tighen them. the only way i can think of is to take off the door panel and pull the pin through somehow but im thinking that might me wrong. anyone can shed some light on my situation?

You cant physically tighten those, they are a single use plastic clip so if there is play in them you have to break the old ones and replace them.
