Haha, Its hard to find body parts in the correct color. Alpine Weiss is more popular though so you shouldn't have too many troubles.

Idle is perfectly fine with the flywheel unless the chatter on idle bothers you then you'll like it. I honestly can say after putting like 10k on it that it is really good and worthwhile for a daily. Faster downshifts, no double clutching, definitely recommend it. Thanks

So I installed a late Zender apron, need to cut/ move the exhuast tips so they fit better.

Got the R12 drained and system completely removed, engine bay is dirty so...

Lowered the front another half inch, ride height is at roughly 11.75 front and 11.5 rear with the iX kit.

Still, need to flip the oil filter housing around and do an oil change, then reboot the axles and add some spring helpers to the GC's
I also need to figure out a swaybar solution for the front. I have a 19mm rear, tried to fit a 21mm 323i e46 sway but it doesn't fit. Next, I will try e36 m3 22.5" bar and relocate the mounts on the housings. A friend is still working on an e36 rack to fit iX subframe.

Sidenote- I'm going to try to shoot some actual photos with a few people, I guess we will see. Really happy with the look of the car, I like Rieger's lips but it sits too low for my taste and I'd probably break it knowing the real Rieger lips are fragile...

Next up is to get it running on MS2 and get all the sensors for oil temp/ pressure reading for the podi then hopefully we can get to some AutoX, Probably going to do RMCCA autoX, my car has 85 points so in the BDS class. I may do RHD ITBS before rotrex because I want to learn more about tunerstudio and get it running really good before rotrex on COP, not to mention that I would have to remake the cold side piping to fit the intake box.

No one makes a bar for the iX. I may get some dimensions together and call them before I buy an e36 bar.

I sent to GC only to find my friend bought a tig but whatever. Housings are cut 2", the setup is 425/500 spring rate both front and rear are 2.5"/6". 8641-1547SPGC valved Koni front and 8041-1289SPGC rear with specific iX camber plates/gc rsm's.

                car looking gooooood friend.

Quick question I have, one IX owner to another. How much drive train movement would you say you have on hard shifts? I've noticed mine is moving around quite a bit these days and I am not sure if this is just an IX thing or not. I've replaced the rear diff mount and the transfer case mount, but still need to do the motor mounts.

You’re right, I checked again and they list the same part for the i and ix. Years ago I bought an ix front swat bar from eibach that was ix specific, wish I still had that thing.

Interested to see what you come up with for the steering rack and sway bar. Definitely staying tuned in here.

Thank Jeenyus and likewise, Not any noticeable movement because my iX has new engine mounts, diff and T-case bushing along with all poly and z3/dssr so everything is pretty tight.

Really, I had no Idea Eibach had made a specific bar for the iX, I almost don't believe you. haha, both will have a solution and I'll update everyone when they do.

Thanks, Litu, I am happy. I think I will get AC Schnitzer apron and front in the future but I am very happy for now. I figured I would go with the red theme because I wanted something I didn't see and that was looked kinda motorsport, plan to get RHD ITB's this summer so yeah, it will be even better soon!

did you get the Condor motor mounts? How is the vibration with them installed? Been thinking about them. What is the transfer case mount you used? Just the stock one?

Curious as well if you kept your stock "i" lip?

Yeah, No Condor mounts will rattle your brain cells away. Anything UHMW/ Delrin will kill you on the street especially driveline related. I just used mtc engine mounts and they worked ok, We'll see how long they last.

Yeah, I still have the stock i lip, you need?

Great looking IX, I really think the body kit is complete with the rear valance in place. lines up perfectly. If you don't mind me asking what paint did you use for value cover and intake manifold?

Your ix is a beauty. I got an ix in need of a rally light set up like yours. How do I get it built? Plus I want that is lip.

If you have it, and don't mind parting with it. I made the mistake of getting rid of mine when I first got the car and regret it.
