So I just bought this car. Literally not a week after it arrived, my friends wife backed right into it in their driveway! Their insurance wont cover the full damage as its too high % of the value of the car and they'd rather just call it a total loss. Their estimate for the repairs was $2,538. What was a fresh glass out recent repaint and near perfect body condition now has an ugly scar that I just dont have the time to deal with. I'm now seeing if anyone is interested in picking it up instead.
to be clear... the damage is entirely cosmetic. she was going at not even 5mph and moved 20ft before hitting the car. i plan to pry that fender off the tire and its perfectly driveable; just ugly imo!
I really need to be at or near $6k to sell it. Otherwise I'll just keep it and maybe deal with the damage in the spring.
The good:
- very straight body. aside from the obvious area there is not a single dent, ding or scratch on this car.
- ZERO rust. no joke. not in the fenders, not in the battery tray, not in the footwells. southern car up until this point
- s50 seems to run and rev strong (the 20 miles or so I've put on it anyway)
- paint is beautiful color
- recaro seats
- new clutch
The bad:
- obvious rear quarter damage
- cracked windshield (had made an appointment at safelite this week that is now canceled for $200 replacement)
- cracked dash
Stuff I had already started to sort out/order before the accident happened:
- replace headunit
- purchased bumper lights and clear side markers
- new interior door handles (broken trim)
stuff from the original ad (mods please dont shoot me)...

The car is a freaking blast to drive, with the differential it has the right amount of torque in all gears, I have replaced the brake pads, rotors. The car has had a glass out respray in the factory color. The bad about the car- the monoballs squeak every now and then and the windshield is cracked.
