    5 speed swap -- what do you replace "while you're in there"?

    As the title states.

    Planning to do a 5 speed swap soon. As parts are out of the car/uninstalled, what are things to R&R while there is more room available?

    How difficult is it to change the rear main seal while the trans is dropped, before I install the clutch?

    rear main seal, engine/trans mounts...al new shifter linage bushings etc.
    I would also change all seals in the transmission while its on the ground. Also check preload washers behind input shaft seal for wear. One on my G260 had grove worn into it from the bearing outer race.
