    '86 325E Front Valence Replacement

    Hey guys,

I have a 1986 BMW 325E, and my front valence is broken, and the fog lights are removed.

I have the metal bumper, and the fog light mounts seem to stick out almost as far as the bumper.

I'm having trouble understanding or finding what the part number is to order a replacement.

    Any help or suggestions?

It's hard to understand the question, pics would help. 325E, so it's the metal valance that's broken? Don't your fogs mount to the bumper? What part are you trying to replace? The valence?

Or do you have a plastic airdam that's broken?

    ?

      This right here.

I found someone selling a newer iS valance, is it able to fit onto the 325E?

Ok so you're looking for the metal valence. Are those fog mounts attached to the valence or the bumper?

I don't know if the valence is still available new but they're often for sale here. A late model metal valence will not fit without cutting the tow hooks, search for it, there are a lot of write ups. An early ES or IS airdam would fit, but it mounts to the metal valence so you'd need to fix or replace yours, though some people drill up into the metal bumper instead. Hope that helps.

It's the lip that's broke. You need one for the 86-87 valance.

Oh, you're totally right. Couldn't see it on my phone. Just the plastic lip.

Might be a bigger fix than I thought :(

Whoa dude. Somebody mod that for a snowplow or something?

Looks like you'd have to cut it off and then get a replacement metal valence and plastic lip.

I think it was towed a lot.
It's welded to the frame :/

                      ^^nice catch.

Snowplow. Get yourself an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and make it go away. The real question is whether they butchered the body so bad that you'll have trouble attaching a new valence. If so you can attach an IS airdam directly to the bumper. AFTER you flip the bumper right-side-up.

                      Does this look familiar?
