The red e34 M5 belongs to my Dad, don't think he plans on selling that any time soon :).

I basically finished up the interior this afternoon aside for the headliner, I'll get around to it eventually though. 370mm Mtech 2 steering wheel in alcantara. It's in pretty damn good shape for being 20 years old, not re wrapped. I also changed transmission mounts, cleared the sunroof drains, and a few other random things.

Now you need to update your signature with a pic of the touring.

I know, I need to update the sig but been lazy.

Today I went into work on my day off and did a few things on the lift. I installed my rear e34 M5 sway bar along with a new O2 sensor and re balanced the M parallel wheels. Besides that I got my smiley headlights in the mail the other day/ installed those last night.

A few weekends ago when I was at the junkyard I found a e34 with a wireless key entry system and figured I'd grab it/ fool around and try to get it working on the wagon. Well today I had some time, turns out my wagon was pre wired for this so I plugged it into the car and now got a keyless entry set up!

Funny you bring that up cause that rear license plate frame has been bugging me as well haha. Still trying to decide what to put on. Front's done though, I put a plate filler on a few weeks back

Not sure if anyone's interested in updates but she's still on the road! So far I've put on almost 4,000 miles on the swap, she runs and drives just fine. In fact, this is my only good car at the moment. I've been tinkering with her quite a bit just haven't updated the thread. I installed some AKG transmission mounts, installed a bluetooth set up using the "factory" BMW CD43 head unit, tons of little things.

Yesterday I decided to tackle the headliner issue. Came out great if I must say so myself, it's definitely a DIY friendly job so long you passed arts and crafts class in elementary school :D.

Note: If any other touring guys are interested, I used "medium grey" in 1/8th thick foam. Damn near perfect color match if I may say so myself.

This is how I bought the car:

Where did you source the headliner material? I need to do both my wagons...

Haha, that's my 87yr old grandfather still lending me a hand when I need him. I picked up the material online, you need 1/8th thick headliner material in the color of your choice. As for the glue I used "3M 38808 headliner and fabric adhesive".

Well I decided to head out to bimmerfest again this year and ended up taking this e34 wagon since I took the e30 last year, she ran great with no issues what so ever.. definitely a solid car thus far

Interesting story though, so I met a guy last year who also happens to drive a e30. Anyways, his car broke a few miles away from the show and rather then getting it towed strait back to the hotel.. I towed the car right into the show, literally haha. Towed him easily for 2 miles. Pics bellow!

                        Gotta love wagons.

Just read this whole thread. Awesome, fast quality work. Bet it drives nice. A mate at my work shares a e34 touring with his dad, it has a full m5 swap (s38b36). Great cars.

How did you end up taking out those sunroof panels? I'm about to do the same, along with taking out the panels for paint.
