    Thanks Jaker!

This is my friend's car, we are working together on our cars. It is funny btw, how many common part the twoo cars has. (same blue factory colour with different names of course, identical size turning light covers, 4*100 wheels and lots of matching sized parts)

I love Civics as well, but i stayed with the Bavarian :)

What kind of research have you done comparing the flow of the S54 head vs. the M54 head?

The M54 doesn't flow nearly as much. Driveability WILL be an issue here. Using the S54 throttles as an e-throttle and adjusting the factory e-throttle mapping could help with that. But still, you will make more power AND torque AND have better drivability with a manifold and standard big bore throttle body.

Please, please don't jerry-rig the throttles with a cable. There is a reason they were made e-throttle from the factory.

Excuse me guys for the late answer.
I got the adapter plate from these guys: http://gitcar.pl/

Still needs some work to do, but will do the job.

What are your reasons for attaching ITBs to the M54? If it's for weight (aluminum M54 vs iron S54), I'm sure you could find other ways to reduce weight on the front end. The engineers at BMW made the S54 iron so that it is strong. Putting excessive stress on an aluminum M54 probably isn't the best idea.

Wasn't part of the cast iron choice because they wanted to be able to space the cylinders closer together? The M54 has 7mm between cylinders if I've got my info correct, while the S54 has 4mm, while they both have 91mm cylinder to cylinder. There are some M54's out there making some pretty good power. I know someone making somewhere in the neighborhood of 500hp in his E39 with a custom turbo setup.

They might not sell it directly, but they have a similar setup in an E46 with a fully built engine.
I saw the car on youtube, and emailed them.

The engine is finally assembled and sits well in the engine bay.

Will the hood still close over that plenum? It looks to sit at a funny angle.

                              Hello Everybody!

As it was a really slow project, i really lost my spirit in the past few years to continue to work on the car. But in the last 6 months finally we made huge steps to finish the work. We had lots of problems with the cables, but the car is assembled and runs great. All we had to do is to finish the mapping of the ecu.
You can have a look at the progress at my facebook folder here:

                              https://www.facebook.com/badics.gerg...2035008&type=3

but i also upload a few pics and videos here.

Also there are two videos about the noise of the ITB's :)

video, sharing, camera phone, video phone, free, upload

The final mapping is still missing, i'm going to post the end result here.
