Today I applied a coat of Collinite 845. Best wax in the game, IMO. Super easy to apply and buff out. It's like butter.

Looks great! Unless you just love waxing your car, you might want to consider getting it ceramic coated. Best thing I ever did for mine. You'll never wax your car again and nothing sticks to it. See?

            Nice!

Some of the new diff drain/fill plugs have a built-in rubber o-ring. I'm not sure if you need to use the crush washers if your plugs have the o-ring.

What fluid are you going to use?

Mike, you're right. I just looked again and they do have a built in green o-ring on them. I'm going with redline 75w90

Ceramic coatings aren’t worth the money imo. Unless you want to go all in and buy silica based sprays and PH neutral soaps, you will get the same durability out of a proper sealer and wax.

845 and Power Lock are my go to, and I use bead maker as a drying aid whenever I do my weekly washes. This combo destroys about 75% of the ceramic coatings out there, and is far cheaper and safer

Quick 5min job today. Replaced the original old style timing chain tensioner with the new style tensioner.

Old on the left, new on the right (still compressed)

Great work on this sedan. Looking forward to your thoughts on the 3.64 when it's installed. I considered a 3.64 for my m42 sedan but instead went with a 3.91 lsd to replace the 4.10. I've yet to install mine, but depending on your thoughts, I might try a 3.64 instead.

robrez, my previous 318 I had a S3.73. Loved the ratio. 3.64 is very close to that, so I'm sure I'll be very happy with it.
