I zoomed in on the hi-res of that pic, and they look like the same badge. I'm still in for 5 front and 5 rear

They are legitimately NLA.
You're only hope is to find an obscure tuner/collector who still has one, or buy a used one... if you can find one.

It is the badge in the first picture, a flat back for the trunk deck & one with fastners for the grill. It is the one that has been NLA for at least 2 years.

Chris, These are not the adhesive sticker ones for the side of the car - not the little tiny ones. This will be the ones like in the pic in my post of this morning & the first pic in the post above by CorvallisBMW. Yes, their will be one that has attachments on the back of it so it can be mounted to the grill. The one for the trunk will have a flat back, as it glues to the back of the trunk deck. A set is one of each, so you can badge an M-Technic as it came from BMW in '91 & '92.

I have been working on this source for over a year & a half. All the details are not available yet. I am not keeping anything "close to the chest", I am excited that new ones are going to be available & will contact those who are interested (names on the list) as I hear more. I do know it will be a very limited quantity - as it should be - as those of you who drive one know, for the cabrios, less than 140 made in '91 & 1000 made in 92. So, 15 years ago, BMW made @1140 M Tech cabrios, who knows how many are on the road today - I can assure you it is also a very limited quantity.

Hey, that is my car!
Add my name to the list for a front and rear. These badges were only on authentic m-technics made in 1991 (around 140 produced).....the 1992 model year were called "m-technic appearance package". I see quite a few white ones, which are 92's and are appearance package as the real m-technic did not come in white....different suspension, interior, badges, lsd etc.
