    Buying and e30 M3

In november when i get my money i will be giving my father his 325ic back aalmost 75% restored as a birthday gift and buying myself and m3 but ive never owned one and dont know much about them price wise. i dont want one already "restored" i want one in drive able condition with minimal body damage. so i can work on it my self so preferable a decent condition stock M3. wat price range am i looking at? i can never find any on craigslist in my area

At this point "not rusty" seems to be around $15k. Honestly, if I'd been more rational about it at the beginning, I would have just plonked down $25k for a nice E30 M3 and been done with it.

For a complete beater with problems, even a blown S14, expect to pay up to $10k.

Sure they can maybe be found for slightly less but its better to have the extra funds ready when one pops up.

Not at all, everyone around here gets their money around November if they harvest at the end of Sept or in the middle of October.

              Wait, nevermind.

I picked up a project M3 last month for 4 figures. It's had a rough life but I took it on to give it a new start. There still are good deals to be had on these cars but they are few and far between. There have been a couple of cheap M3's sold on R3v but the buyers ended up flipping them for profit. Keep your eyes and ears open and just be ready with cash. If you don't have it already, don't bother looking because chances are the car won't be around by the time you get your money. Everyone's pretty much looking for the same thing you are. These things (even the basketcase-salvaged cars) go quickly for 10K or less.

I suggest you don't buy an M3...for the M3s sake.
