For comparisons sake. What is the added track width of an e36 5 lug and also e30 5 lug? I know this is a huge advantage of this kit is keeping close to a stock width giving wider tire fitment options.
Thanks for the compliment! To answer the wheel offset question, the e36 5 lug requires e36 fitment wheels, and as I understand it, doesn't allow for any spacers and whatnot. I'm running e36 fitment wheels with a 10mm front spacer, and I do not rub. I have 17x8" wheels and 225 45 17 tires. The e36 wheel on my 5 lug kit doesn't require a spacer to clear the strut, I just added it in to make the wheels a bit more flush to the fenders.

In reference to the change in offset, my 5 lug kit moves the face of the rotor out by 12mm, from where the stock 4 lug rotor face was originally; all of this is in regards to the front.

I have seen his car in person and seen his work. A+ stuff. Car looks wicked with the brakes/wheels combo. Looks like it could lift the rear tires off the ground if brakes pressed hard enough.;)

Ron, for the front brakes, does the spacer behind the rotor reduce the amount of lip remaining on the hub to center the wheel? How thick is that spacer?
Thought of a hub extender ala turners design?

Todd, the rotor spacer is as thick as the rotor is. To correct for this, I have developed a hub extender that also acts as a dust cap for the wheel bearing. I will post a picture of them.

What offset wheels would you need to run with these? Is it different in the rear vs. the front?

I am running ET 44 E36 fitment wheels all around, and I have a 5mm spacer in the front, and a 15mm spacer in the rear. The front spacer isn't needed, the wheels still clear the strut by literally 3mm! I have my front spacers just for vanity.

With the front camber raked in, 17" style 5's fit in the front as well.

Okay guys, the group buy is set to end tomorrow! As of now, only one kit has been purchased and will be shipping out next week.

Anyone else want to jump on this before the kit goes up to $2,499?

Only one kit purchased? Jeez... I'm not in the market for something like this but I would have thought there'd be way more interest.

FWIW thanks for developing this product for the community, it's something I'll think about doing if I ever swap the car.

Thank you very much! I'm happy that I can contribute some knowledge and fun.

There has been a lot of interest, but not much commitment unfortunately. Please do keep the kit in mind, and also that I'm developing 2 other front brake fitments. One for smaller 16" wheels and also the 135i Brembo's for the extreme end of things.

                        Thanks again!

Don't let Ron's low post count fool you, this guy knows his stuff and is a great seller!

Yeah, Ron and Ryan G worked on my car a few years back - I had urethane bushings put in and a bunch of other stuff. I can confirm that Ron knows his stuff.

This just happens to come at the wrong time, I've been waiting for this kit for so long too! I'll definitely be in to purchase at MSRP when the time is right.

                              Awesome job!

I would agree with the last few posts. Ron knows what he is doing. If there was any doubt, just check the latest edition of European Car Magazine. There is a nice story of Ryan's S54 E30 M3, where Ron is mentioned, because he did a lot of the work and developed the sick brake set up for Ryan's car.

Frankly, I'm surprised more members haven't jumped on this kit. The need for a good 5-lug conversion seems to be the #1 topic on this forum, and even in the E30 community, for that matter. What gives? This is obviously a quality kit, WITH the added bonus of a BBK - another popular topic.

I guess you can lead the horses to water, but you can't make them drink!
