    173 ECU, Visual Inspection?

So I bought a cheap eBay 173 ECU w/ an accompanied chip (Turner) to upgrade from a 153 ECU.
I'm unsure of the history behind the ECU, but the cover has a few SSSQuid stickers on it and the seller said that it once had an SSSQuid chip in it, which leads me to believe that maybe the ECU was once rebuilt/tested by SSSQuid.

Regardless, what should I do before throwing this new-to-me ECU in my car? Obviously disconnect the battery, unplug old ECU, blah blah...
Are there any visual queues that would tell me the ECU is trash? Regardless, I have a fire extinguisher on hand ;)
    Thanks!

Absent any visible cracks on the board or blow components just plug it in and see if it works. The ecus can be damaged but I'm not aware of one causing any and SSquid sells his chips online so the sticker doesn't mean he's ever seen that ecu

No visible cracks as far as I can see.
First thing I’ll try to do is the stomp test. And if that doesn’t work then I guess that means the ECU is trash? Cuz I know my TPS is proper.

Actually if the lights on the dash don’t come on at all then that means the ECU trash... answered my own question I guess.

I don't see any bad traces or anything. I'd say just send it.
