    Rear Floor Board Water

Recently I noticed that only the rear passenger floor boards are drenched in my 84' 318.

All other floor boards are dry, sun roof is dry, trunk is dry. It is definitely water. Does not smell at all and it is clear.

Originally I thought it could have been because I shampooed the carpets. So I pulled that carpet up, dried it all out underneath but came out to the car again this morning and its worse. Really strange.

Any thoughts on what could be going on?

Does it get wet just sitting? If it's only after driving in the rain, it could be the plugs in the floor as shown in your picture.

If it's while sitting, there are drains that run inside the front foot wells (behind the kick panels). If they get clogged, water will get in. Search and you should find several threads. Compressed air is usually used to clean them out.
