    Really stiff shifts

Just swapped out a tranny with no third gear for a basically unknown g260.

Old tranny shifted smooth like butter, no slop, engaged each gear easily and quickly.

New tranny has all gears, but its incredibly hard to shift most of the time. Using same short shifter as previous setup. Was using royal purple synchromesh, drained and put in Redline MTL, shifting is unchanged. Strange thing is it upshifts great, but a huge bitch to downshift, I have to reef on it to get it out of gear.

It doesn't appear to be binding on anything, no strange noises. Brand new tranny mounts too. Any suggestion's?

I should also note there is no grinding. Shifter never pops out either.
Clutch engagement is great, pedal feels fine, returns perfectly. Swapped tranny and old tranny are both identical units, ie same bellhousing depth etc, using previous single mass flywheel, clutch, release bearing. Pivot fork bushing is brand new.

Update: put Molyslip manual additive in. No difference. If I could best describe what's going on, is that it feels like the shifter is getting hung up on something....possibly something wrong with shift selector connection? Nothing rubbing on driveshaft/giant balancer thing (although only 2mm clearance between balancer/selector rod). I have a feeling its an internal tranny problem
