Proper way to aim my euro-ellips?

I just put a set of euro-ellips on my car that I got from a friend and saw that the high beams are aimed completely wrong. What is the correct procedure to aim them correctly, i.e. is it a measured distance from a wall and have the cut-off so many inches high up on the wall, or just eye-ball about where they should be?

I will state that I got the best results aiming my euro ellips about an inch or two lower than level even though the bentely says level. The beam patterns are different. The highs are just at level and just inside the lows. They suck at low speeds because they dont light as wide as the Euro lows but they project FAR down the road, dont turn them on when a car is within 100meters.
      Im now E30less.
