Somebody please explain to me how instagram is useful? I know a ton of people who use it and I think its pointless as hell.

I Facebook pictures.. isn't that the same thing without the stupid filters and fake film borders

Yes James its absolutely useless but i use it anyway. Instagram differs from facebook because you can look at random pictures by searching tags. and i like it because a lot of the people i follow are photographers that i don't really know which makes it kind of interesting.

It's entertaining. Like he said, you search by tags for things that interest you and add to the mass with your own pictures for the world to see, like, and comment on. Along with that, you can follow whomever you choose, including friends of course, so their posted pictures come up on your feed. I follow quite a bit of people I don't know because they strictly post pictures of things I'm interested in. It's neat.
