    oil filler cap options?

my oil filler cap may be taking a crap on me.
(edit) maybe i should tell you i have a m20
everything i have seen at the parts stores really really suck(really)
they are either a weird yellow or some stupid low quality steel
to get a regular black one I would need to go online .
so i thought why not get something after market that looks fairly good too
but there really is not anything i have seen.. and the square ones look bad
i have searched on here already and... nothing and ebay..... nothing again
the e9x one looks ok but not sure if it will fit

Anyone have a nice one to show me? I want to go back black but
billet would be ok ...... so... what do you have? found anything floating
around on the interwebs that looks good?

Do you have the original black plastic BMW one? I bought a Febi/Bilstein replacement that looks basically the same but says "China" or something on it, and stole the new seal off that for the old cap. Now my original cap works like new! The cap only cost like $3 too, so it was well worth it in my book.

I always throw the newer style square cap on everything. I like it.

It was the OEM cap for E36 cars, possibly more. OEM part number 11121743294. It's about $10 for OEM BMW or $5 for aftermarket.

This is the one I used: PN 11121716993

Some people use the M3 style one, though I think it looks dumb on an M20. It looks like this:

Try autohausaz, gutenparts, blunttech, etc. for the Febi one if you want that.

there is really only square or stock or m3 or stupid looking chrome caps.... was more
trying to see if there was something cool out there i was missing but it seems not

Yeah, but if you read the description, it is the "Ideal accessory to jass up your engine compartment."

And can you really put a price tag on a jassy engine?
