    Shants the man, and is doing some pretty cool things with the cars we love. Hes already built a few nice cars and really does them right, no short cutting around. He hasnt postd much on here in the FS classifieds, but when he does, be confident that you are getting exactly what he says. Thanks for everything Shant.

    I'd like to chime in to this thread since to the naked eye it would seem that Shant (Myster-e) hasn't done much on R3V.

    Shant is a good personal friend of mine. Earlier this year I hired him to build my new 2.7L turbo engine. He did it ALL, from top to bottom. He rebuilt and port/polished the cylinder head, decked the block, installed the pistons, rings, bearings, ARP bolts, etc etc. I feel that his quality of work is up to par with some of the "big name" BMW engine/head builders but without the huge cost.

    I know for a fact that he has done a few M20 timing belt, tune up, and suspension jobs locally for people and everyone is very happy with the work. Another local R3V member had him swap a dashboard in his E30. The guy can do pretty much anything.

      ^^ good to see shant getting some of the much deserved respect he has earned. I can agree with matt in saying that he does excellent work and really does just know how to do it all. I have seen and driven an m30 swap he built and a 2.7i. He did both of those by himself and then extended his skillful talent and helping hand and did a complete head rebuild on a m20b25 for me. Honestly felt like driving a zero mileage e30 afterwards. Port and polish with an angled valve grind and a perfect install! Unfortunately I don't have that car with me now in CT, but it is member owned and still tearing up the streets of la.

      After seeing him work wonders on these motors would trust him with a heart transplant :-)

        Just had a head shipped to me. His work looks great.. port and polish, 3 angle valve grind, reground cam, oversized eccentrics, polished rockers, etc. Looks titties, can't wait to install.

              A+++++++++++++
              Shant came over to the pad and did a full timing belt service and tune up on my Bros e30. Excellent service and great price. Highly recommend!

                  Bought some shocks off of Shant and the transaction went as easy as bada-bing, bada-boom. I recommend buying from this guy with no hesitation whatsoever, he's a good man no

                      Matt, I'd be honored if you played a role in the swap as you're a p.o. ;)

                      Of course if I ever get the chance to do said swap.

                        GREAT Mechanic, GREAT guy

                        Shant did the SuperETA Short-Block plus 325i 885 head engine build and install on my 89 325is this Thursday and Friday. The engine runs perfectly, with plenty of torque, great mid-range, and lots of top-end. My test for a strong M20 is the 5th gear pull up the San Luis Obispo grade heading North. This engine pulled the grade at 80 MPH with throttle left: my old, pretty healthy 325i M20 struggled to carry 68MPH there. Shant's meticulous and pays attention to the little details, he's hugely informed about all the little eccentricities of these M20s and he's a kind guy: very polite, very courteous. I can see him having a shop like Ryan's RGMWMotorworks in Auburn down the road. It was worth the drive from Monterey to SoCal and it was fun meeting Shants and MR325. Need help with your E30?: call Shant.

                            Shant lent me a huge hand in replacing my worn and squeaking IE trailing arm bushings. While we were at it we decided to replace the subframe mounts and a couple brake lines as well. Parts used: powerflex polyurethane bushings—purple/street. After all is said and done, I can say that I’m really impressed with not only the new bushings but also the work he did.

                            Judging by his worksmanship I wouldn’t hesitate one bit to have him rebuild an engine which is something he specializes in doing and really takes pride in. His own e30’s are a perfect testament to this. In fact, I got to ride in his s52 powered car and it hauls like no other :crazy: Really got me thinking about doing a swap… lol.

                            A big thanks to Shant. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs work done on their car. Oh, and a shout out to Matt for allowing us to work on the car at his pad.
