    M60 swap w/ E38 engine harness?

I picked up an entire running 1995 e38 as the donor car for my M60 swap. I did not realize that the E38 doesn't have a X20 connector to tap off of. Has anyone done an E30 M60 swap successfully using the E38 harness? I'd rather spend time splicing something together on a known good harness than some ebay junker that I have to chase continuity on all over.

Find a 540i harness, it's not worth the headache. I got the harness from a 1994 540i auto from the donor car, and just removed all the auto Bullshit. It took some work, but it was so much easier than trying to screw with the 740i stuff.

Well I'm feeling ambitious. I still have the entire e38 so I de-loomed the entire chassis side of the harness and traced back to the e-box. I think ive identified everything i need, only thing I'm not sure on is the alternator signal for the lamp. I'm gonna try it.... it's a square plug C101 so I was going to have to mess with it some anyway.

Many months before i know anything though, time to start sanding the E30 for paint.
