Newish to NYC area / Looking for a machine shop

Hey guys, I am fairly new to the NYC area and am looking for a machine shop to deck my m20 I am rebuilding. I have a garage in NJ just on the other side of the Holland Tunnel and am curious if anyone knows of any good machine shops near there. Thanks in advance! Also, who is in Manhattan? Would love to meet other e30 / e34 enthusiasts nearby!!

Here is my e34 m5 towing one of my e30 projects:

Easy one...call Levent at GPS and he will take good care of you.

I am friends with Levent, but he doesn't really use any local machine shops... He uses a guy down in VA that does full rebuilds for him.

Go to SR Auto services in Brooklyn. They work on all types of Bmw and their body man is out of this world. He only touches my car. If you want his direct number I can give it to you. Reasonably priced and very friendly. And if you give him my name you will get a better deal

I used a machine shop called Colvin in Merrick, Nassau County. Little far for you but I recommend them for most jobs. For special jobs like the s38 head I used VAC. Welcome to the area.

+1 for Colvin Auto. They're taking care of my m20 cylinder head at the moment.
