Those are some beefy relays. Tycos at 12v and 40A will happily switch on or off anything. I don't seen flyback diodes on that board - it really should have them, no excuse for not having a 10 cent part on there. (It's keeps the relay coils from inducing a reverse voltage/current when they are deactivated and the magnetic field of the coil collapses- messing up other electrical stuff)

Edit I see it's Bowling and Grippo. No wonder.

I barely understand what you're talking about. Hopefully, the guys who are finishing up the megasquirt do... What does it being a Bowling & Grippo mean??

Ok, photobucket pics are gone. Sadly it seems the IE Trans mount and the shifter are gone too... shop cant find them, Edmond cant find them at his place and we cant verify if we even bought them because the receipt is also missing...

I was suspecting those relays had diodes built in, but a quick look at the datasheet shows nothing about an internal flyback. You could probably solder on some 1n4004 or something on the bottom to the relay terminals.

Intercooler is finished now too. Lots of pie cuts to make the tight bend

Here you can see how tight everything fit on the hot side.

The cold side was a LOT easier

Somehow his 5speed swap transmission mount from Ireland Engineering disappeared, so were waiting for that to come in. Once thats all done, they get to finish dealing with the Megasquirt.

Well another year comes and goes but this car still hasn’t gone very far on its own…

The shop basically got frustrated with the mega squirt so my cousin paid his bill, a hefty one, and now the car is back at home. He’s a little frustrated but I’m trying to help and keeping his eyes on the prize so today we have progress

              Italvolanti steering wheel installed!

The plan from here is to have him finish the fuel system which appears to be fairly done just needs a second hard metal line ran and then will focus on the ignition system

              Here’s what’s in the tank now [emoji102]

Running a new hard line was a fun point in my project.

What Fuel Pump are you guys running in this application?

Yeah, Im having to put my cousin to work, so we will see how hard it will be for him to knock out a few of these details. I told him installing the steering wheel was a good start and I think it motivated him. He already found another part he needed and I think he is going to run that other hard line soon. I hope he knocks it out this weekend.

The fuel pump is a M42 pump as far as I know.

That's the same pump I'm running.

I ended up buying a spool of "hard line" and just used the one existing hard line as a template to bend. Secured the new hard line to the existing hard line and tore out the low pressure shit. I'm loving the pie cuts on the intercooler piping!

My cousin is on a mission. He ran the second fuel line

He also found the missing connectors

Checking things off the list! Hopefully this year he will hear it run!

Edit: also wanted to show how the 02again crank trigger was modified to work with this wheel we had.

Yup! Hopefully, we get it to the point where its just finishing the megasquirt and then we can bring in an expert
