Not sure about the Nitto's. The biggest thing for a DE tire is wear, period. That's why the RA-1's are the best, I don't think anything will last as long as them. And they are pretty consistent that whole time too.
Thanks for the info, Elephant. BTW, why the name Elephant Racing?

Actually Elephant Racing is a Porsche shop, I'm Elephant Motorsports. ; ) I didn't realize Elephant Racing already existed until I tried to buy the website many years ago. Anyway, the name is really from a college/fraternity thing. I started this as a hobby but it's grown and now I'm doing it full time.

      Cheers.

Thanks for posting this up Jack, you just made up my mind for a set of track wheels. These look perfect!

The R888's are getting some good reviews, I don't know if they will last as long as the RA-1's though. They should, I believe the compounds are the same. 888's are available in a 225 AND a 235 50r15. The 235's are a little tall, but should fit-there was a guy selling some on 7's not too long ago.

Damn, direct fit 15x8 track wheels....ALRIGHT!

I always thought it was pretty wild to see the name Elephant again when I started to get into BMW's. I am very familiar with Elephant Racing from my Porsche days. Chuck Moreland is the owner and a great guy with some great products. He is a big contributor over on the Pelican Parts 911 forum.

Cool! I can use a set of the 5-hole rims for my 5-lug car.

                57.1?

This may be redundant since these are direct-fit, but I'll ask, just to clarify. The bore center is 57.1, eliminating the need for hub-centric rings, correct?

Yes, these are all direct fit, no rings required.

I don't have a wheel to test anything yet but one of the main design goals was to fit over large brake kits. I certainly cannot guarantee at this point that they will but they most certainly should.

I think Lee, or someone, has a drawing that outlines the shape of his kit(s)....if I can send this to TR they will check it. Anyone have this?

I'm going to be doing the same with the brake kit that I'll have available soon.

Good stuff, Jack. I'll pick up a set or two. I've got three sets of 15x7 R-Comps in the garage...seems like I now have 3-4 months to make them turn into smoke and black lines.
