I was wondering if anyone did this mod?
I have euro ellips and my goal is to keep my low beams on while my high beams are on, and to also keep my fog lights on when the high beams are on. I've been looking over the bentley and they had bridged power from the high beam to the low beam in a sealed beam setup. My buddy seams to think its not as easy as connecting to two powers to the bulb. He insists there needs to be a resister in the bridge to the low beam because in the original bulb, there were two different filliments in the bulb, high and low, and for the euro elip, there is just low, he says I'll go through bulbs like candy. any though?
I would like to figure out something clean like the fog light relay article above to get my fog lights on all the time. He also said instead of bridging power, we could just wire it up w/ a toggle switch to enable my low beams to come on during the highs by a separate switch. I don't want to be adding more switches to my car. anyone understand the bentley wiring diagram?
I'm not convinced there is more power coming from one line than the other, they both pass through 7.5amp fuses and are coming from a 12v power source correcT? he says that if true, it will just cause both low/high beams to be dimmer while on together instead of normal brightness. need help please.
