I have an "i" engine though.. I'm pretty sure I can find another intake but thanks for the offer. After talking to one of the fabricators I work with at UT in the robotics lab he pointed out that we could cut the ends off to the "i: intake and weld the V12 intake flange where the cut is. Then take the V12 intake, cut off the ends, shorten the runners to a point where it will fit nicely under the hood and weld the V12 ends back on to the intake. At this point you can smooth out the welds and hone the intake before installing it to minimize air turbulance. This was everything just bolts onto the car.

It might require some extra leg work but it will be fun to see what we can achieve.

Actually they offerred to sell it to me for $80 shipped. But it looks as if I'm going to need the throttle body and throttle cable as well. I'm hoping to find one locally this summer.

make sure to get a non EML throttle, as some had electronically controlled throttle bodies.

Well never mind just looked in the etk and it appears they are all EML, I don't know maybe if the euro cars got manual throttles or not.

AFAIK even euro 750i's are all EML.

Is there a way to operate the throttle body without the EML?

You could probally remove the electronic motor, then rig someway to attach some linkage to the throttle plate so you can move it normally. I wonder what the other people have done that go the v12 swap route.

                      Different throttle body?

I think you can with a good bit of modification though it will be sometime around this late summer before I will get the opportunity to start on this project.
