    The v8 conversion progress

    Its the dirtiest its ever been!!!!!!! riding on steeleys (ACS alloys almost finished :)) , it pains me to see it this ugly and dirty but......its got a new school v8 (that i havint had time to clean the dust off yet) in it so im happy. Also heres a quick pic of the 1000hp rb26 bens building up

        Very nice! It pains me to see your car like that! Soon, very soon. Why is it that all these blocks look like they were meant to be in our engine bays? Esp v8's!

          It's a 4.0 V8 out of an LS400.

              I would of used one of those, but they are soooooo expensive and dam hard to tune compared to theses

                  How do you have it mounted in there? I'm going to have solid mounts coming off of the frame when i do mine.

                  1992 BMW 325iC
                  1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
                  1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 140hp

                    Its mounted using the factory bmw mounting points with adaptors made to suit.I do no advise using solid mounts! it will be very hard on the engine and the chassis

                      is heaps more room for turbo's with a ls1 in the engine bay ;)

                        It's not going to be that hard on the motor or chassis, i'm only going to put a little TPI 305 in it, or 5.0 for you metric guy's. I've had cars with solid mounts in them before. The transmission mount will be rubber cause there does have to be flex in the drive line somewhere.

                              yes for the custom drive shaft. My dad will do that, he's did some on some of my other cars and there was no vibration so i have faith in him to do this one right.
