hey man im new in the tread and im building a 1991 318is with an s50 swap but the prob that the engine that i bough is missing the vin and thet code on the block is shaved off, now i got the complete swap with trany, Ecu, wire harness and everything the tranny still has the vin, and the ecu is for an s50 but im still kind of worried aboutthe engine it self not being an s50, so my quetion to you is do you know of any way to tell if this is an s50 block? now i looked at the crankshaft but i cant see the part number unless i take it out! all i got from the top of it was this number 1705385 or 1785385 i think they are not that clear. i really appreciate you taking the time to read this but i really need some help
