I dont see why one would need a special tool to remove the csb. I've newer had an issue with it. Came right off.sigpicComment

mine slid right off without much effort, make sure to remove the snap ring.
As a note, the snap ring pliers from Harbor Freight are too small just in case anyone needs to know.1991 325i - "Scambles" The Daily Driven lightly modded.

I have never cut anything pulling a CSB. Just remove snap ring as said above, they slide right off.
If you don't have a good set of snap ring pliers, this is a good opportunity to get them.
Knipex are amazing by the looks of them, but I have not tried them.
